A four-part field-based learning series visiting leading market gardens across Australia, focused on practical systems from propagation through to sales, including composting, biological farming, tools, flowers, greenhouse production, and farm-to-plate integration.

A practical field-based workshop with Jodi Roebuck exploring how a market garden can successfully connect with chefs, restaurants, and local communities through reliable, sustainably grown food.
Held at Wayfinder Farm, this session focuses on building efficient farm-to-plate workflows — from harvest timing and crop planning through to wash-pack design and clear communication with kitchens, all grounded in strong, practical business systems that support consistency, profitability, and long-term resilience.
We’ll also explore Johnson-Su composting and how biological systems can support consistent, high-quality production in a commercial context.
Focus areas include:
Farm-to-plate systems • harvest flow • wash-pack efficiency • restaurant integration • Johnson-Su composting • crop alignment with chefs • farm design • the 5-Row Jang Seeder • greenhouse growing • vertical growing • fast crops
