About Jean-Martin Fortier
From Quebec, Jean-Martin Fortier is a world-renowned market gardener, author, and outspoken advocate for the small-scale organic farming movement. For over 20 years, he has inspired hundreds of thousands worldwide through his teaching, books—including The Market Gardener—and hands-on experience. A passionate proponent of regenerative agriculture, he leads educational programs at The Market Gardener Institute and La Ferme des Quatre-Temps, equipping farmers with techniques that balance ecological health, efficiency, and profitability.
